Biography-shot

Rachael Olivares is originally from Ireland and is a graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music (Bachelors of Music with Honors) and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (Guildhall Artist Graduate Diploma). Her studies at the Guildhall School were funded by the Mario Lanza Educational Foundation.

In 2019 she graduated from the University of North Texas (Master of Music – Vocal Performance) where she was a recipient of the Dean’s Camarata – Teddy and Barbara Coe Opera Scholarship and the Winspear Opera Scholarship.

Rachael has performed extensively throughout the United Kingdom and USA. She was a finalist in Northern Ireland’s Young Musician of the Year and in London she presented recitals with the Elgar Society, Royal Academy of Music and Southwark Cathedral. 

Since arriving in the USA, she has been a Young Artist with Atlantic Music Festival in Maine and Aquilon Music Festival in Oregon. She has been featured in performances with various organizations including Voces Intimae, in partnership with The Latino Cultural Center of Dallas, Fresco Opera, Florentine Opera, Capitol Lakes Recital Series, DFW Opera on Tap, Theater Denton and Fort Worth Opera.

Rachael has also been cast in various operatic productions, her favorite roles include :

Nora in Riders to the Sea with Morley Opera, Ernestine von Fricken in Clara, A World Premiere with Fresco Opera Theatre, Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte with Atlantic Music Festival and Isabele in Lully’s La Chute de Phaeton, A Modern Day World Premier with Aquilon Music Festival.

She currently resides in the DFW metroplex and continues to enjoy many performance and collaborative opportunities since her arrival in 2016.
